How can you HELP ~ we have vacancies for parents to HELP !!!
All help is welcome no matter how small it may seem, we are optimistic that some parents will be able to help our coaches this season with the running of the teams under the title of “Coaches Assistants”. It is our plan that these coaches assistants will be able to take on some of the administration duties allowing our head coaches to concentrate more on the training and preparation of the boys for the matches. If you would like to get involved, please contact any of the coaches mentioned above, it won’t take up too much of your time and it will be very much appreciated by all concerned, please note RFU ~ CERTIFICATED TRAINING WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ALL VOLUNTEERS.
We also require 'First Aiders' either experienced persons or members willing to attend First Aid training courses organised by the RFU.
Club Membership for the coming 2009 / 2010 season starts on September 4th and has been set at £25.00 per child, with any third child free. This gives the parents / guardians automatic social membership to the club as well as covering the RFU insurance costs for the players and also covers the costs of training equipment, tournament fees, coaching & first aid courses. Your Membership fee is the only charge made to you during the season and covers both training and playing and we feel this represents very good value for money.
The Clubhouse is open for members and guests throughout the year on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on both Saturday and Sunday match days. Woodrush club is also available to hire for private functions, speak to Toby Smith on 07771860645, toby@weatheroakales.co.uk , if you would like to place a booking.
The Club Shop is open throughout the season housing a variety of rugby kit, including club shorts (with club badge), socks, training tops, bobble hats and studs etc. Don’t throw away those old boots because they are too small, bring them into the shop as we run a “boot recycling” programme where another player may benefit from your cast offs. We also are linked to local kit suppliers 'Ready 4 Sport ' on the Stratford Road, Shirley who offer a discount to all club members, just mention Woodrush RFC.
If you would like more details on the Mini and Junior Section please contact Stephen Wilson 07906585040 - stephenwilson33@hotmail.com

Woodrush U16s girls make history......March 5th 2006 Woodrush hosted their first ever girls match against Aldridge RFC. A large crowd watched the occassion and enjoyed what they saw....Congratulations to all the girls and especially Cloe Neald who became the first girl to score a try for Woodrush..... Our girls have been training on Tuesday evening for the past 12 weeks, under the watching eye of Rupert Cure and were able to give a good account of themselves against a girls side that had played 4 or 5 previous matches beating us by six score to one. .....However long may it continue and form a regular part of the Woodrush rugby scene.
